Our Mission

The original name "Proteico" is derived from the idea that the food industry converts inputs into outputs, and many of those inputs and their corresponding outputs are proteins.  Over time, we have modified the name to make it simplier.  Hence the name "Protayko."  Proteico started as many small companies do, with a single customer and a project with very narrow focus.  Since then, and through the COVD-19 pandemic, Protayko evolved to meet the needs of many customers, and multiple causes.
Protayko's model is to engage with industry experts, as needed to fulfill the requirements of our customer's needs.  We envision Protayko as more than just a solutions provider.  It is to be a hub of innovation and a catalyst for progress within the food industry. We recognize that success hinges on the ability to adapt and evolve, we committed ourselves to staying at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and cutting-edge research.

Clark Dobbs, Owner & Lead Consultant

With 35+ years in the food industry, Clark and his wife, Paula made the decision to move to Starkville, MS so Clark could pursue his dream of obtaining his Master's and PhD in food science at Mississippi State University.
This will complete his academic journey and give him the skills and tools needed to continue serving the food industry, in a more creative and science-backed capacity.
Food is critical to life and the success of the human species.  The reality is that agricultural sciences, food sciences, supply chain sciences, and technology will carry the burden of feeding a growing world population. 
The global food industry will be expected to use less human resources, improve the utilization of our natural resources, improve compliance to ever expanding regulatory requirements, work across borders between sovereign nations, and keep pace with the evolving societal expectations for transparency, while solving the challenges of global food insecurity.

Education, training, and the constant evolution of the technology used to power the food industry are the keys to the success of the industry.  Protayko is committed and has evolved to face these challenges head on.
